Harold KellyI have been in sales and marketing of some sort for about as long as I can remember ever working. It’s a labor of love for me.

My first “real job” was selling greeting cards from the back of a comic book.  If I sold 100 boxes, I would get an am/fm radio that appeared to be state of the art at the time.  Mind you this was 1976 and I was 8 years old and iPod’s hadn’t been invented yet.  So my standards weren’t too high.

My favorite part of that job was checking on people once they had received their order.  They were always delighted.  Even if they didn’t like the cards as much as they’d thought, they liked me.  So they bought more.  I was hooked!

A lot’s changed since knocking door to door selling those greeting cards.  I don’t go door to door as much and when I do, I have my iPod with me so I can show pictures of recent events we’ve catered or show you a quick video of a performer I had at an event the night before.  I always was fascinated by technology!

I keep getting asked when I’m going to do a blog. I promised this year I would do one…so here it is.

What better way to do it then with a company I love, with people I love, doing what I love.

In this blog I’ll share about things that are related to business, entertaining, marketing and of course…great food! It’s a work in progress and it seems, as with most things, getting started is the hardest part. So… let’s get started! Here’s to an awesome 2010!
